A workstation sink designed to turn the kitchen into a calm, coherent working space, not by adding complexity, but by refining what already matters

What you see here isn’t a split — it’s structure.
A cleaner, more intentional way to manage space
The idea was simple: most double-bowl sinks divide space vertically, but in real use this wall doesn’t separate anything — water, utensils, and movement still mix.
So instead of splitting the volume, we lifted the second working zone upward, creating a clean, continuous bowl below and a functional tier above.
This single gesture increased usable space and opened room for accessories to work naturally in the flow of cooking.
Vigo Hampton isn’t just a sink — it’s a quiet workstation. A composition shaped by proportions, intent, and the small rituals that anchor everyday life
Proportions were calibrated with mathematical discipline: all dimensions in the bowl, accessories and tracks converge to a single base number — a constant that governs the geometry.
This makes the system feel coherent and naturally balanced, even when the user interacts with it intuitively.
Multiple size variations were developed around the same design language, each one preserving the same functional logic and visual clarity
A full-width track allows the cutting board to glide from edge to edge, turning the sink into a true preparation surface.
The colander sits on the upper tier, forming a dedicated rinse-and-drain zone without stealing volume from the main bowl.
Additional containers were developed to extend the system — each one sized and proportioned to fit the same geometry, transforming the sink into a fully modular workstation.
The silicone grid was rethought from first principles. Instead of a perforated sheet — a common but heavy-looking solution — the design uses structural silicone rods connected by fine bridges.
This creates a sculptural pattern that flexes when needed, holds its form when flat, and visually reads as a set of clean parallel lines. A small detail, but one that makes the sink quieter, softer to use, and unexpectedly elegant.
